Department of Integrated Law – CSI College for Legal Studies

The Department of Integrated Law at CSI College for Legal Studies (CSICLS), Kanakkary, Kottayam, offers comprehensive five-year integrated law programmes designed to build a strong foundation in legal education combined with interdisciplinary knowledge. The department offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes, both approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

These integrated law programmes are structured over ten semesters across five academic years, enabling students to gain in-depth understanding of constitutional law, criminal law, corporate law, civil law, and emerging areas of legal practice, alongside subjects from arts and commerce streams. The curriculum emphasizes theoretical knowledge, practical training, legal research, moot court practice, internships, and advocacy skills, ensuring students are professionally competent and industry-ready.

The Department of Integrated Law is supported by a team of experienced faculty members, modern classrooms, a well-stocked law library, and a learner-centric academic environment. Regular seminars, workshops, legal awareness programmes, court visits, and guest lectures are organized to expose students to real-world legal challenges and contemporary developments in law. The medium of instruction and examination is English, preparing students for national and international legal careers.
